Cleethorpes pier in winter light

A watercolour and ink painting of the pier in Cleethorpes painted during Lockdown 2021. I was taken by the way the light played on the water, it was such an arresting scene.
All of my paintings are created in watercolour and ink in a sketchbook, in which I paint, draw and write every day. My style is really informed by my years of being a calligrapher. I’m really inspired by Grimsby and Cleethorpes, and wider Lincolnshire.
